Don't live here. Allen Park won't care about you. It seems like they are more concerned about hitting people with citations than helping them out. Their Ordinance Warden skulks around the streets looking for anything they can to fine you for, or even put you in jail over.
This is stuff where they could instead just leave a message in your mailbox or something so you can fix it without having to set a court date. They make up new rules all the time so they can siphon as much money as possible from the people and make their judges look good. Your own property is in your driveway? That's a fine. Temporary sign on your lawn? That's a fine. Privacy fence is 100% opaque? It's not made of cinderblocks, so that's a fine.
Great team to work with and do business with. Understanding and very very patient, when and where they can be. Willing to work with people and do what it takes for success of the city!
Then they take that money and spend it on the stupidest things like ripping out local business parking and replacing it with grass that doesn't last the summer (go check out Ecorse Rd if you don't believe me). They pay off their buddies and turn a blind eye to any infractions their friends in the good ol' boys network would otherwise accrue (from breaking the ordinances they wrote, of course).
